I just knew you were all waiting for an update on my Great Toe Surgery Adventure, so here it is, two months after surgery.
I have been out of the surgical boot for a little over 2 weeks. I found a comfortable pair of shoes that I can put on with no pain, so I am pretty happy about that.
I walk slowly with no noticeable limp, but if you ask me to hurry there is definitely a "hitch in my getalong" as my dad used to say.

The doc is thrilled with my progress and gave me the go ahead to start yoga again, but I am a little hesitant. I'll need to use a chair for balance, and my downward dog will forever resemble a scalded pup. (Not to mention the 2 pounds I lost in muscle showed up as 5 lbs of fat on my butt. Yoga pants will be screaming)
Energy level is still low. I have about 2 hours a day that I actually feel like doing anything. I know that will improve with activity, but Ugh! It's so hard! (she whines)
Nevertheless, this sunny 60 degree day is pulling me out to the garden, so I'm gonna take my hoe and shovel and dig a little dirt. :) Life is good if I don't think too much.
