I think I will arrange that with my sister. I can email her the latest, then she can pass it on to extended family through fb for me. Even one phone call can tie up my day for half an hour or more, which I don't really have to spare.
Great , that should help a lot.

I just realized you said 6 weeks of radiation. I think DH had 5 days with the radiation to just the surgery site and 2 tumors. Then later he had whole brain radiation and I think that was 10 days and then later he had radiation to his back and that was 10 days. I can't imagine 6 weeks. :thOf course they give different amounts, so he might be getting a lot lower dose each time. I thought it was hard taking DH probably 1.5 miles or so each day. He was only in there a few minutes unless it was a day with a doctor appointment. Chemotherapy was an all day. He would be there for 6 hours or more.

That was what the Oncologist said, but we have an appt with the Radiation doctor to go over his part tomorrow. I guess we got lucky with the chemo being taken in pill form at home, Temodar is the Rx name. I've heard this one won't make him quite as sick either, maybe only nauseous the first day or so after first taking the pill each Monday.

I hope my dad will persevere with the treatments and not want to cut and run. He hates going to the doctor and is worn out just thinking about it. I explained to him that it was going to be like running a marathon.

Talking to Dad today, he was very clear-headed and totally himself. I am so thankful all of that confusion he was having has passed for the time being. It must have been related to the swelling on the brain and post-op. Today he was asking me all kinds of questions about just what all has occurred the past few weeks. He had a better understanding today of everything that is going on and what is going to be happening in the weeks to come. Much of what happened the couple of weeks before surgery he couldn't clearly remember. He wanted to know how he ended up in the ER and was upset that everything went down while he was at work and embarrassed him. He wanted to know who made him go and I told him his mother put the bounty out on his head, but I was the one who drove him there. He still thinks he was alright enough at the time. I had to tell him he was very much messed up and drew him a picture of what his brain looked like on the MRI! I asked him again to go to the ER to see about his leg and the possible blood clot. He still refuses. I will have to point it out to the doctor tomorrow. It would be awful to have gotten this far only to let a blood clot take him out all of a sudden. I pray daily for heaps of patience. He is not a good patient!

Well, it was a blood clot. We already had an U/S and they said there's more than one. We've been waiting in the ER for 2 hours now to get the blood thinner. Probably will be here all night. Busy place.
