Tonight I discovered that I have 2 cushaw pumpkins in the garden. Our youngest grandson is staying the night with us and I picked the only strawberry I had and gave it to him. I wish I would have had my phone. The look on his face was "priceless."

Yes it is. With 8 grandkids life is just so awesome and amazing. I love having them here and being with them. All of my grandbabies have their own personality and it's just such a wonderful time to be with them.

I picked a couple of squash a few days ago and decided last night to deep fry one. I didn't dredge it I just left it plain and added a few Brussels Sprouts. It was so good. The only ways I have ever had Brussels Sprouts is either with salt and butter or with cheese. The outer layer was really charred and the inside was still soft and delicious.
I like to chop up my Brussels sprouts into very thin slices (raw) and add them to a spicy honey based sauce with fancy sliced nuts, cranberries, etc! Yummy!
