Hey Majorcatfish and Lickbranchfarm ... to further our appreciation of Southern gardening that you have to deal with other than bountiful harvests year round , tell us about your Cicada killer wasps, Palmetto bugs, and Carolina wolf spiders among some other pet critters in your homes and gardens that the rest of us never hear about. :hu

Honestly I don't pay attention to bugs to much, we have much more serious things In the garden. Killed a 3' copper head Monday, that's big for a copperhead, around here anyway but those things are dynamite in a small package. Had a friend bout lose his leg to one years ago. Mean a$$ snake.

Only 2 things I worry about around here are snakes, and ground hornets, I'll break the land speed record over either. My wife was watching out the kitchen window I guess and saw me jump back and kinda walk around and get another peek, I come In the house she said, snake? Not breaking my stride I said yep, she said getting the pistol, I said yep as I came back from the bedroom. Came back in the house she said 6 shots really? I said the first one did it...the other 5 just to make sure. Lol

we have been lucky this year no yellow jacket nests in the ground, when we do i find them the hard way, we do have a healthy black snake population this year, only seen 1 copperhead in 19 +years.

Lol, yall missing out on all the fun! I thought everybody could speak industrial mechanical terminology.

dont you just love tracing a wire or better yet following the wire schematics.. to find out why that motor does not run ae; starts at a motor wire #233 and then it goes to a 4x4 box and changes number#631 and then goes to a terminal strip and changes numbers again #756 that goes to a auxiliary connection A1 on a contactor which then has a jumper wire jp.23.09 that ends up at input card ip03 terminal 13, which in turn comes out on output card op5 terminal 2 wire # 45 following it to another wire terminal which this time has the same number tracing that wire ends up at the proximity sensor right next to that motor that does not work..... to find out that the wire has a break in it between wire#45 and the proximity sensor and you have to replace it....

now i know all of you fully understand this!!!! hopefully i did not lose anyone in this easy problem.....:lol:

just remember lefty lossie, righty tighty, except on a motor that has left handed threads....

That's funny! I had a rattler under a hay pallet one time. Our newfie alerted on it. DH was not home so I got a 22 and took care of it. I don't remember how many shots it holds but I half emptied the rifle under the pallet, then gingerly lifted it with a board and it was still moving so I emptied the rest into it. It was still moving so I beat it to a pulp with a stick. Had a little adrenaline going on.
