@bobm we have carolina wolfs and the Cicada wasps<European hornet> no biggie around here......

copperheads-that's cause they are all down here in my yard

I found a gater snake in middle of kitchen floor. When I stopped screaming I grabbed a broom beat it then swept it out the door. I ran to bathroom swallowed handful of valium washed it down with vodka. Then called around looking for mongoose breeders.

Night before last, Paris was barking crazy. DH got up to go see, then hollered, Come quick! Paris has a snake! She had a copperhead. She circles, barks, feints, rushes in, jumps back, doing the Snake Dance Of Death. All she needs is for the snake to strike, then it is stretched out. She grabs it and shakes it furiously and slings it. When we find her with one, we either chop it's head off and let her "kill" it or we stretch it out, this time, all I could lay hands on was a broom. DH used it to stretch the snake out and she pounced. She shook it in half, half hit the wall of the house, half fell close to her. Since that was the half with the head, I used a long handled grabber and tossed it over the fence. Then we found the other half and let her have it. She slung snake juice on DH's leg. Ick.
