that looks like a grass that we have here that was intentionally planted by either my ex-step-dad or Mom. i took out the main clump of it soon after starting to garden here because of how tough it was to control once it got established anywhere. so now i find clumps of it here or there and remove them as soon as i notice them, but it might now be endemic. the really hard spot to get it all out of is the strawberry patch.
Common Rush, it loves the sand mixed soil, that's usually damp, in my fields by the creek. Less of them in the harder soil. Seems they like the fluffy dirt best. I think some grew 4ft last year, couldn't mow them down. Lol
But yeah, stores sell it as decor. Adds visual texture, but I hate that nothing eats it.
