Hahahahaha...I'm glad.
You know...four eyes are better than two (two, with excellent "search" ablity (that'd be you) and two, that just "stumbles onto stuff"....got my hand raised).

You can learn a lot from these links.
I have never used wood chippings for anything, other than footpaths....but, just read of putting them under large veggies (in this case, it was butternut squash) to keep them off the ground, drier (during deluges with standing water), and to promote air circulation around the veggie.

Yep.....gonna remember that tip.

Good morning! :frow

Just a quick fix for you!

Another UK site for your amusement today:

http://vegplotting.blogspot.com/2010/02/grafted-tomatoes-et-al.html

It's a very interesting site....! :frow

From a still sick :hit Hattie :hit
As usual.....great site with sooooo many side bar links. Have put a shortcut on my desktop as it will take a while to explore and digest.
And this grafting "business" sounds really interesting...will have to "dabble" with that when I get my greenhouse built.

Hi Hattie,

Was, just now, reading on one archive, where it was recommending to "check the grease bands". Do you know what this is talking about? Never heard of it before. The next sentence, on the post, leads me to think it has something to do with deterring ants but doesn't give any useful info on just what it "is". Guess they didn't think that someone from "across the pond" would wonder about it.
