Range wars

Well, when all this started with the neighbors and the land there were no problems with DH. If the dispute started today, I just might let them have the land. With DH and his problems, we have too much to work through and too little time left to be together. The added stress and work involved in proving the land is ours just would not be worth it to us as a couple.

If I don't hold this time precious and take advantage of what we do have, I'll end up with lots of regrets and precious few memories of time spent with my beloved during the time we have left.

Well, tomorrow is the "BIG DAY" when we go to court over the disputed property. The neighbor had his surveyor out looking at the property lines today. Don't have a clue as to why other than so the neighbor can learn what 15 feet he is talking about. I swear they still have no clue.

Unfortunately, this judge hearing our case is unlikely to rule at the end of the day(s). Our attorney expects the judge will take everything to study and check precedents before ruling -- perhaps in a few weeks. So no quick resolution is in the cards for us yet. This isn't nearly as hard on me as it is on DH. He doesn't understand and is worried unnecessarily. There's nothing I can do to make his worry go away other than keep reminding him we're okay.

Wish us luck!

Big hugs to you. With all that you have on your plate, you don't need this aggravation. But you've got it, so go whip his butt.

Praying the judge will have good sense not to drag this out and will quickly settle this for you once and for all.

Hoping everything goes smoothly for you tomorrow, Red. Will your son be with you, too?
Yes, son intends to be there. He probably won't be called to testify since he doesn't know anything I can't already testify to, but DH will need bathroom breaks and perhaps some attention I can't give to him so son will be there to help if needed. New places are often confusing to DH and knowing son will be there is a good thing.

I don't know how long someone can sit when they can't hear what's being said and won't understand much of it anyway. We don't expect DH to be called to testify. If he would be, little would make sense and neither side would benefit from the ordeal. The court already knows Clayton has problems with memory and word selection. Son might take him out for a while if he needs to get up and do something.

Check the time. I guess I am a bit worried, too. I should be sleeping!
