Good Morning all!!!!
Sorry I come and go. I am busy planning my wedding on June 15, 2024.
@peteyfoozer I also am having a country rustic wedding but instead of it being outside it's going to be in an AC controlled building. I think the only different things between that wedding you shared and mine is the colors and location and of course the men's outfits. The men including my FH is going to be wearing loafers, jeans, dress shirts and Bolo ties. The men's dress shirts are going to be matching us ladies dresses. As you can see I already have the color scheme, some decor and I put my foot down on theme because of all that I had. I had all I could do to convince FH he needed to dress spiffy. We have the venue, the officiant, menu planned, wedding party (and HOLY COW it's a big wedding party!!!!!), the photographer/videographer all set.

Bitten by the bug, @Gardening with Rabbits ? Mosquito bites are no fun but I'm beginning to catch a whiff that the wiffleball has gained a new life in the 21st century. A high school friend lived on a par 5 golf course which immediately appealed to this farm kid for some baseball in his yard. "No, we can't go out there." Relegated to batting the wiffleball around. Sheesh

Half the Year has gone by! Full Moon yesterday -- well, I've come up with a gardening idea that growing both Tiara and Charmant cabbage may have been a mistake. The carport fridge is crammed because they both produce on about the same schedule!

Our green beans had terrible germination. I think that this was from 2017 seed. I don't remember this happening before. Two sowing, ordered and received fresh seed and still have time ;). Rattlesnake pole beans from saved seed are doing fine.

The Weather Service says our above-90 days will be back by Thursday. I was appreciating the low-80's.

We will be 90 today. I am starting to see mosquitoes in the garden in the evening. I am not sure my body is going to hold up to playing pickleball as much as my friend is playing. I played some Tuesday and I beat her in one game, but one leg feels kind of strained, so I did not go today. Yes, whiffleball is getting popular. You have to get up early and know where the courts are and try to get there before all taken.

Drinking coffee and DD just called and said she is coming over. I am trying to give her squash and zucchini, but she has her own. I am really thinking of sneaking it into her car. LOL I made soup yesterday with some tomatoes from the freezer. I put in a zucchini and a couple of small peppers, onions, carrots, some kale. That used ONE zucchini but my table is covered in zucchini and little yellow squash. I found a cucumber and it was not really that good. The plants are loaded with flowers. I really think I am going to pull some of this up and not stress myself out. I made blackberry juice in the steamer. I guess my own fault, I should have done a lot of soup making last winter, but really I was not in that great of shape. I am thinking of calling the food bank and see if they take fresh produce.

I know the ones around me take local produce. When I can get my hands on fresh produce especially summer squash and zucchini I wash it off really good then slice into rounds parboil it then freeze it so during the winter months when it's hard to get and also VERY EXPENSIVE I already have some in the freezer plus I also shred zucchini so I can make zucchini bread :drool.

I found my first zucchini in my tub garden last night. Didn’t cut it, had no knife. I’ll cut it loose this morning. My cucumbers didn’t make it. :hit
Another happy day in paradise, I’ll finish roof on the back side this morning and be ready for metal tomorrow. Going to pick up metal this afternoon. I’ll check air in truck tires, then hitch up trailer, pull it out of the pasture, back it up to the shed, check tires, air up any that need it. I still am lousy at backing up, it takes me awhile….

My freezer is full almost and I was sick last summer and winter, so I did not use up things like I usually would have done. I steamed some blackberries and I told DS that if we each drink 8 oz twice a day that I can take sacks of blackberries out of the freezer every 2 days or so. He does not have a happy face, but he is willing to help me. LOL The food bank is closed until Monday, so I have not talked to them, but it sure would be nice to have a plan to pick things when there is too much and then drop it off that morning while fresh.

I had my coffee this morning and trying to relax. My leg is still not back to normal but it is in the 90s and right now pickleball does not sound fun. DD came over yesterday and after all these years has decided she needs some flowers, so I let her dig up some hollyhocks, bee balm, daisies and coneflowers. She planted them on her back fence. She has a small garden, so she is not helping me with squash LOL and I tried to get her to take a half gallon of blackberry juice, but she does not like it. Her husband does NOT like to garden and he is just tired all the time from his job, but he hates yard work and heat, so DD is now mowing and weed eating. She decided if it bothers her to have the yard looking bad then she should fix it and she wants more flowers. Son-in-law saw her bring all those flowers from my house and last night she said he was asleep and having a nightmare and sat up in bed and said I DO NOT WANT ANY PLANTS IN HERE. LOLLLLLLLLL

I brought in some cabbage and made coleslaw and I am going to roast some squash for supper and make zucchini cookies. They have chocolate chips, so the kids will eat them. I should just make a batch of cookies for each girl too and hand them a sack each and say here are your own cookies to take home and see if DD can pry those out of their hands. LOL
